Content and artwork licenses
Monstershuffler lets creators choose how other people may use their published content and artwork. The selected license applies only to material the creator owns or has authority to license. A publication can contain parts with different licenses, and each part keeps its own license and attribution.
Choosing a license for an item in a private media library records that license for the item. It does not make the item public by itself. The license takes effect for other users when the item is included in an approved publication or another public reuse flow.
Monstershuffler-only licenses
These licenses are for creators who want to let people use their work inside Monstershuffler without granting general permission to reuse it elsewhere.
- Monstershuffler Personal Use License 1.0 allows attributed private copies and private adaptations inside Monstershuffler. Other users cannot publish or redistribute those copies.
- Monstershuffler Community Reuse License 1.0 also allows attributed adaptations to be published inside Monstershuffler under the same license.
Both licenses preserve the creator's ownership. Neither gives Monstershuffler permission to deliberately reuse the work for unrelated marketing, merchandise, external publications, standalone licensing, or AI model training.
Creative Commons choices
The gallery also provides a curated set of Creative Commons tools. These can allow reuse outside Monstershuffler. Their exact terms come from Creative Commons, not Monstershuffler. Follow the official license link shown in the gallery before choosing or using one.
How the list is ordered
The license selector starts with Not specified. The remaining choices run from the most restrictive Monstershuffler-only option to the least restrictive option. This ordering is a practical product guide, not a legal ranking that resolves every possible use.
Important limits
Only a copyright owner or someone authorized by the owner may apply a license to a work. Selecting a license does not create rights that the uploader does not have. Monstershuffler may restrict or remove material when an uploader cannot show the necessary ownership or permission.
A license does not override copyright exceptions, moral rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, trademarks, or rights held by other people. Creators and reusers are responsible for checking that they have the permissions they need.
