What Monstershuffler is and what you can do with it.
Monstershuffler is a free suite of tools for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, currently built around two main features:
- The Monster Editor: built for creating monsters that can be used at a wide range of challenge ratings; monsters can be created or improved by adding classes and templates to the base stat block, and every stat is automatically calculated for you.
- The NPC Generator, which creates complete NPCs with stat blocks, backstory hooks and roleplay details in a single click.
How can I support Monstershuffler?
There are several ways to help:
- Become a patron. Your support keeps the servers running and development moving forward.
- Create and publish content: sharing your monsters and NPCs enriches the community for everyone.
- Submit your art: some pages include AI-generated placeholder images (purposefully dithered and black-and-white to distinguish them from user-made content). If you have art that fits, click the button on the image to submit your own version; an admin will review it and, once approved, it replaces the AI placeholder.
- Share the website: tell your friends and gaming groups about Monstershuffler.
- Give feedback on Reddit: your bug reports, feature ideas, and general thoughts shape what gets built next.
- Answer polls and open questions: occasionally a poll or open-ended question appears at the bottom of a page; answering helps guide development.
