Monstershuffler Community Reuse License 1.0
Version 1.0, written August 17, 2026.
This license lets other Monstershuffler users make private copies and adaptations of the licensed material. It also lets them publish those adaptations inside Monstershuffler under the same license. It does not permit reuse outside Monstershuffler.
1. Definitions
Creator means the person or organization offering material under this license.
Licensed Material means the content or artwork identified as using this license. It does not include a third-party component with its own license.
Monstershuffler or Service means the Monstershuffler website, applications, and services operated as part of the same product.
Private Copy means a copy stored in a user's non-public Monstershuffler collection.
Adaptation means modified, translated, arranged, transformed, or otherwise changed Licensed Material.
Monstershuffler Publication means content approved and made public through Monstershuffler's publication workflow.
2. Permission from the Creator
Subject to this license, the Creator gives each user a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to:
- Add the Licensed Material to a Private Copy inside Monstershuffler.
- Make Adaptations inside that Private Copy.
- Use and show the Private Copy or Adaptation in a private tabletop game or play group.
- Include the Licensed Material or an Adaptation in a Monstershuffler Publication.
- Let other users receive the material from that publication under this same license.
- Let Monstershuffler perform the technical changes needed to store, secure, resize, crop, format, render, cache, back up, and deliver those permitted uses.
These permissions cannot be transferred or sublicensed outside the Monstershuffler publication and private-copy behavior described here.
3. Attribution
The user must keep the Creator's name, source link, license name, and other supplied attribution with the Licensed Material and in each Monstershuffler Publication that contains it. The user must identify an Adaptation when Monstershuffler provides a place to do so. The user must not imply that the Creator endorses the user or the Adaptation.
4. Same-license requirement
Every Monstershuffler Publication containing an Adaptation of the Licensed Material must keep that material under the Monstershuffler Community Reuse License 1.0. A publication may contain other components under their own compatible licenses, but the user cannot apply broader terms to this Licensed Material or remove its attribution and lineage.
5. Restrictions
This license does not permit a user to:
- Share, export, distribute, sell, sublicense, or make the Licensed Material or an Adaptation available outside Monstershuffler.
- Extract and reuse an artwork or other component as a standalone asset outside its permitted Monstershuffler context.
- Use the Licensed Material for commercial exploitation outside Monstershuffler.
- Use the Licensed Material to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or build an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model or dataset.
- Remove attribution, source lineage, or technological information used to preserve these terms.
Copyright exceptions and other rights that apply without permission are not restricted by this license.
6. Permission to Monstershuffler
When the Creator uploads or publishes the Licensed Material, the Creator gives Monstershuffler the narrow, non-exclusive permission needed to operate the Service. This includes hosting, storing, processing, scanning for safety, creating thumbnails and required renditions, rendering, caching, backing up, and delivering the Licensed Material for uses allowed by this license.
This operational permission does not allow Monstershuffler to deliberately use the Licensed Material for unrelated advertising, merchandise, external publications, standalone licensing, or AI model training without the Creator's separate express consent. Monstershuffler does not claim ownership of the Licensed Material.
7. Withdrawal and existing uses
The Creator may withdraw the public item. Withdrawal stops new discovery, cloning, and reuse through Monstershuffler. It does not revoke this license from users who already received a valid Private Copy or from already approved Monstershuffler Publications while following these terms. Those publications may continue to provide the licensed on-platform reuse described above. Monstershuffler may restrict or remove material when required for legal, safety, abuse-prevention, or policy reasons.
8. Termination
A user's permission under this license ends automatically when that user violates its terms. Permission may be restored if the violation is corrected within 30 days after the user discovers it, unless the Creator has already started an enforcement action or applicable law requires a different result.
9. No warranties
The Licensed Material is offered as-is, to the extent allowed by law. The Creator gives no warranty that the material is accurate, safe, suitable, or free of third-party claims. This section does not limit rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Relationship to other terms
The Monstershuffler Terms of Service and applicable law also govern use of the Service. If a separately licensed component is included, its own license continues to apply to that component. No publication-level choice can erase those separate obligations.
